Are there any misconceptions people have about greyhounds?
One of the misconceptions about retired racers is that they are aggressive dogs because most people have only seen photos of greyhounds racing with muzzles covering their faces. The muzzles are used to help protect racing greyhounds from injury and to determine the winners of close races.
Hi friends! I'm so glad you're here. I can't tell you enough how thankful I am for your support and love. Our sweet boy turned three years old over the weekend. Yes we had a small celebration, and yes I'm going to share it with you - in a few days! You won't want to miss it because a) it's super fun, and b) I'm sharing the cutest things I got for the pups and where you can get your own! As for today, in honor of our birthday boy, I'm sharing my letter of gratitude.
You know what I’m talking about. The one that is overprotective of her dogs. The one that has a routine laid out for them. The one that calls and checks in every hour when they are left with someone else.
In order to be the best birthday ever, he needs a ‘birthday treat’. Am I right? Especially one he can share with all of his friends. Okay this is taking it w a y too far. Dog friends? Maybe it’s a real thing, I don’t know.
I knew I wanted something that had three bowls, one for each of them (for food) and one in the middle for water. I was being optimistic and hoping they would get along enough to share a water bowl.
Shopping at the antique mall is sometimes a weekly adventure for me. I LOVE to browse those isles. This particular day Bryn was with me. I laid my eyes on this old, old bench and knew it was perfect. $17ish later, it was mine. I’m not sure if Bryn saw my vision yet, but he soon would.
Every pup needs a cute bandana. Or a few cute bandanas.
As a young girl, I had an interest in sewing, embroidering and crocheting – only because my grandma was always doing one of the three. She would often let me mess around with the sewing machine, try a few stitches on her crochet project or embroider a few towels. It was always fun while it lasted, but I never ‘mastered’ any of them.
October 15th, 2016 was Roman and Nash’s ‘Gotcha Day’. Let me start from the beginning.
Our sweet Maya left us back in February from Osteosarcoma. Because she was only 9 years old at the time, Bryn and I thought for sure we had several more years left with her. This was a complete surprise to both of us, and it left us empty-hearted.
