What I Wish People Knew About The Greyhound Shelter

What I Wish People Knew About The Greyhound Shelter

Are there any misconceptions people have about greyhounds?

One of the misconceptions about retired racers is that they are aggressive dogs because most people have only seen photos of greyhounds racing with muzzles covering their faces.  The muzzles are used to help protect racing greyhounds from injury and to determine the winners of close races.

A Letter of Gratitude

A Letter of Gratitude

Hi friends! I'm so glad you're here.  I can't tell you enough how thankful I am for your support and love. Our sweet boy turned three years old over the weekend.  Yes we had a small celebration, and yes I'm going to share it with you - in a few days!  You won't want to miss it because a) it's super fun, and b) I'm sharing the cutest things I got for the pups and where you can get your own! As for today, in honor of our birthday boy, I'm sharing my letter of gratitude.

f you missed the past adoption updates, here's the 3 month update6 month update

In honor of their 9 month adoption update, I'm going to answer the questions I get asked the most related to the boys. And of course, share lots of cute pictures of what they've been up to!

Greyhound adoption - 3 month update.

Greyhound adoption - 3 month update.

It's been 3 months since we adopted our Greyhound boys.

Wait, Nash and Roman have only been with us for 3 months?  It feels like forever!

It’s about time for an update on the boys since our Gotcha Day.  If you missed the post about bringing them home, read about it here.

Warning: this post is going to be filled with pictures.  A lot of behind the scenes pictures of what they have been up to!

Life as a racing dog.

Life as a racing dog.

It is so hard to see these cute, cuddly, mellow boys, and think just a few months ago they were living the life of a racing greyhound.

I have no real experience on what this entails, nor do I think I want to.

But, I have read a few books about it.  It’s interesting, but it also makes me tear up a bit. I can only hope that our boys were treated well at the farm.
