Finally, greywoodmama has a new look and I couldn’t be more excited about it!
I’ve been working behind the scenes for about two months on the new design (but thinking about it for longer than that I can assure you). It takes a lot of thought and effort to put together a website.
So you’re probably wondering, why?
Greywoodmama started about 1 year ago. Originally, I started this journey to document our house progress through the renovation, and greywoodmama has grown into so much more.
Through this journey of blogging, I’ve discovered several things about myself and the new design of the website reflects those things.
First, you’ll notice that the blog posts are the priority. The newest posts will always show up on the main page. You’ll see a picture and a short blurb about the post that you can click on to view the entire post.
Next, you’ll notice that at the top of the blog, there are 4 pictures with ‘names’. These four categories will organize my posts. If you’re looking for the most popular posts, you can go straight to it. Maybe you’re interested in posts about our home or want information about where I purchased something in our home, you can go straight to that too! And of course, I couldn’t leave out my fur babies, because they are a huge part of this blog - so, you can find all greyhound posts in one place now.
Another big change you will see is at the very top of the website. You should notice the shop page, about page, design work page and of course the contact me page. As some of you know, I love to do design work on the side. My original plan was to create an entire website just for that, but I decided I wanted it to be part of greywoodmama. Because after all, I’m not two different people, and this creative journey all flows together. So, do you have a child’s birthday coming up? Does your favorite non-profit organization need a flyer? Maybe you own a restaurant and need a new menu. Whatever the case may be, greywoodmama is here to help.
Speaking of invitation design, these are my favorite. If you go to the shop page, you will find one example (more to come) of one that you can purchase (customized just for you) and print as many as you need! Also in the shop, you will find things that I have created just for you. You will find watercolor cards, items that have been sewn by yours truly, and quite possibly larger wood items that I make. If you don’t want to miss the chance to purchase a new item from the shop, you can sign up for the email updates that will alert you when a special item is new to the shop!
A few more things to take note of are a search bar on the side if you are looking for something specific, the greywoodmama instagram feed at the bottom of the page, and so much more. Feel free to click around and please let me know if you run across something that isn’t working properly so I can fix it!
Thank you so much for joining me on this journey and being part of something so special to me. This is just the beginning of more great things to come!
P.S. Coming soon to the blog is a guest series called ‘What I wish people knew about…’
Each post will be about something a little different and I am so excited to share their thoughts and knowledge with you all!
