It’s been ONE YEAR (actually longer) since we’ve adopted these loving boys.
What did we get ourselves into!? Totally kidding. I could not say enough positive things about my boys.
Every year we say we’re going to plant a garden - and then we don’t. Sound familiar to anyone?
It sounds wonderful and all, but honestly, there’s a lot about planting that I don’t know. I am on level 1 of planting if there is such thing. Buy a plant, get some dirt, find an empty pot and go to town. Maybe add some water and plant food as well.
We all want to save $650, right? What if I said you can save $650 and have a beautiful wood storage bench? That’s a no brainer! Who wouldn't!?
Here in the midwest we have been seeing warmer temperatures, consistently. Hello Spring! This also means there are plants and flowers EVERYWHERE! I mean, when Target busts out their garden and patio stuff, you can’t just walk past it.
With plants and flowers on my mind, I couldn’t help but think about the poor tree that has lived on our porch for years. Friends, it died this winter. I don’t know how it happened, but it did. That was THE ONLY THING I could keep alive.
We finally have countertops! And they are not just any countertops - concrete countertops!
We have spent countless hours researching our countertop options and as some of you know, we went back and forth between wood and concrete for quite some time.
Well, we finally settled on concrete and I am SO glad we did.
As the remodel continues, I am jumping ahead of myself a little bit and putting up curtains.
Well, let me explain.
Remember in December when it was freezing outside? And in January when it was -35 degrees? Well, when you have a sliding glass door with no curtains, that makes for a really cold room.
Needless to say, even though we don’t have trim or light switch covers (we are far from that step) on the wall yet, we now have curtains.
Happy Wednesday, friends!
I'm so glad you're here today. Today's post is a video from one of my favorite woodworkers / artists, Jon Peters.
Before my husband and I starting building our own furniture, we found Jon on You Tube and started watching his videos each week. And guess what, we still watch his videos together each week - they are so educational for us, but also interesting and entertaining!
Hey everyone! I’m Shara from the DIY blog Woodshop Diaries and I am excited to be guest posting for Courtney today!
I am a full time engineer at a factory and build furniture and write tutorials for my blog on the side. Sometimes people think I must build and blog full time. Or sometimes people just assume that since it’s an “on the side gig” it must just be a hobby.
One of the misconceptions about retired racers is that they are aggressive dogs because most people have only seen photos of greyhounds racing with muzzles covering their faces. The muzzles are used to help protect racing greyhounds from injury and to determine the winners of close races.
Finally, greywoodmama has a new look and I couldn’t be more excited about it!
I’ve been working behind the scenes for about two months on the new design (but thinking about it for longer than that I can asure you). It takes a lot of thought and effort to put together a website.
So you’re probably wondering, why?
Do you have a pup that LOVES toys?
When we first met Nash, he loved to play with all the toys at the shelter so we knew we needed to be sure he had enough of his own toys to play with here at home.
Sometimes picking a chandelier is overwhelming. There are SO many options. I mean, you can go to your local hardware store and choose from the ones they have (sometimes they do have really nice ones) or you can explore other places.
